M.Sc. MLT program prepares individuals to conduct and supervise complex medical tests, clinical trials, and research experiments, manage clinical laboratories; and consult with clinical researchers and physicians on diagnosis, disease causation and spread, and research outcomes. The course focuses on work-based experience and provides career-planning support and life skills development from first year. There is always a high demand for trained lab professionals and with the advent of accreditation to laboratories the need for competent, skilled medical laboratory technicians is high and is expected to increase significantly in the coming years.
This course is a two years full time program including 6 months internship or dissertation work. An all-round development of the students is ensured through the balanced blend of curricular and extracurricular activities. Apart from the practical training in the laboratories, students get exposed to several tests done in various laboratories like Microbiology, Hematology, Cytology, Blood bank, Biochemistry etc.
